How mindfulness can help
There is no right or wrong. There is awareness and choice based in love instead of judgement.
Mindfulness is a universal and potent tool that helps us shift from guilt and reaction to self love and empowerment. It is inside of this shift that we come to realize that we are worthy of optimal health. As a practice, mindfulness can be woven into our daily habits, our routines and relationships.
We have 86,400 seconds in a day and 86,400 opportunities to redirect, refocus and start again.
So many of the patterns and places where we get stuck, need simple, mindful thoughts to rewire. Self talk and the ways we communicate with ourselves are incredibly important to our success in this life. This is where the work builds “intrapersonal intelligence.” Intrapersonal means becoming aware of how your thoughts affect your world and the world around you.
Thoughts form your actions. Your actions fuel your health. So if you want to change your health, start with your thoughts.
Mindfulness work allows us to go deeper and to unwind the layers getting in your way. This can truly be the piece that gives you lasting results. You can honestly try everything, hire the most expensive doctor or join the best gym, but without practicing mindfulness, you will see the same old patterns come back again and again. Guaranteed.
So what does it look like?
It can be as simple as taking 5 minutes out of your day to focus on your breath. It could be noticing the places in your day where you check out instead of checking in. It could be getting out of your head and into your body. It could be seeing your body as a gift instead of an inconvenience. We all have a different starting place and I am excited to help you find what works.

Here is a little about how Radiate Wellness came to be and how I can help you …
Welcome to Radiate Wellness! I love the work that I get to do in Functional Nutrition. I adore the clients I serve, the changes I witness and people’s burning desire to be aligned with their healthiest self.
I have been working in some aspect of women’s health for nearly 20 years. I have an undergraduate degree in Women’s Studies and Social Work. Women’s health, safety and wellbeing has been a long held passion of mine. When women are able to be at their best, they are unstoppable. During my time in college, I worked in relationship and domestic abuse prevention projects, providing advocacy and raising community awareness. After graduating, I became the co-director of Girls Inc of the Redwood Coast in Northern California where I had the opportunity to organize community programs for teenage girls.
Becoming a Functional Nutritionist was a a combination of my love of working in women’s health and my own health crisis that hit in 2011. It was then that I realized that the body cannot be taken for granted. With two cancer scares in one year, I decided to take my health into my own hands by showing up for myself everyday.
Changing what I ate and how I ate, how I pushed myself and how I rested, even how I moved and related with my body – all of these pieces started to come together to build a new way of living.
As a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner and yogi, I use data and mindfulness techniques to motivate change. This is what worked for me in my own health journey and it is what has worked for hundreds of my patients and clients. Over the years, I have worked as a clinical nutritionist for a Functional Medicine clinic, led wellness retreats and community workshops, co-created and coached online programs and worked with hundreds of individual clients to craft their new realities. My client relationships are filled with loving connection and precise planning.
My work brings together my love of food, belief in people and the activist in me that knows it is time for a radical new approach to health care. One that is based in individualized care and education, instead of surgery and pharmaceutical dependence.
I have been empowered to do what I love because I experienced that dramatic changes are possible. I have been cancer free for 8 years. To give this gift to others is a privilege. A huge part of creating the life that you want is the power of intrapersonal intelligence. This is the beam of self awareness that radiates out when someone is accountable and curious about their own wellbeing. It has the power to shift your relationship with yourself and the way you show up in the world.
